If you are in the Connecticut area I will suggest that you come out to see this show. You will definitely enjoy yourself. She is working extremely hard to make this a night to remember. (2) "Poetz Corner TV" Presented By AccessTV.org is EVERY Tuesday at Cloud 9, 7 Congress St., Hartford, CT. Hosted by Shireal Renee, Music By DJ QT & Photos By Robert Cooper. Doors open at 7pm, Pre-Show starts at 8pm & Taping starts at 9pm... If you are a Poet, Spoken Word Artist, Rapper or Singer there is no other place to be than "Poetz Corner TV" on a Tuesday night. On the panel so far Zenobia Simmons, Kingsley Osei, Neil Grant, Chris Tinson, DJ Whiteflash, DJ Nomadik, Cindy Diggs & DJ QT. Panel is being filmed by City Beat TV & Magazine for a film "Bebop to Hip Hop" about the urban music scene in New England from the 60's to now.
Special guest performers so far PR from Richmond,Va., Sahdaya from Boston, Abdi from Amherst, Jdynasty from Hartford and from Harlem new soul singer Monet. Also making the trip from Boston Pollymore Music Group's Soul Singer Amandi performing with his band, made up of Berkley students to close out the night!!! Making for a hot blend of talent. The open mic sign up will be short so you need to be in the club before 7pm for a chance to perform!!

The video touches base on everything from death to police, corruption and brutality. The video is a visual reminder of the harsh reality of life through theatricality with the city of Hartford as its canvas.

Destination Destiny, Inc. & Darlene Brandon are coordinating a production called “Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf”. The poems from Colored Girls will be acted out by eight local CT & MA women named women in brown, yellow, orange, red, purple, green, blue. The choreopoem could be categorized as a drama of self-celebration because all women are presented who are preoccupied with living and surviving. It is also filled with the outcries of women who have been hurt, violated and healed.
